John Grimes

Originally from Washington D.C., John Grimes has lived in Nashville for over 27 years. It was here that he began his career as a professional hairstylist. John moved to Los Angeles in 2006 to better serve his clients working in the entertainment industry. After several years in L.A., he made his permanent return to Nashville where he continued to build his network and open businesses in the beauty and food+beverage industries. John found himself serving the community through his business ventures, whether it be in his salon, in his bar, on video and photoshoots, or in clients’ homes as a decorator. John works well in the real estate industry as his clients trust his creative eye for staging and design to best prepare their homes for the market. In his first year as an Affiliate Broker, John was recognized and awarded Rookie of the Year in 2020 while with Tennessee’s only RE/MAX Collection office. Some call John a lifestylist, as he uniquely marries his beauty and business perspectives when working with clients; he is able to speak to multiple areas of one’s life and provide them an extraordinarily personalized service. In his free time, John enjoys entertaining guests and hosting events for his friends and family. When he is not working or overseeing home improvement projects, he loves spending time by his pool and giving back to his community. For many years, John has served as co-chair of Music in the Gardens hosted by the Antiques and Gardens Show. In addition, he has also served on the Chairman’s Committee for Nashville’s Symphony Ball, benefiting the Nashville Symphony.
